Thalapathy Vijay, an esteemed personality in the realm of Southern cinema, recently journeyed to Kerala for the filming of his forthcoming cinematic endeavor titled GOAT, an acronym denoting The Greatest of All Time, in the city of Thiruvananthapuram. As he embarked on the filming process, he found himself enveloped by an enthusiastic throng of admirers, whose fervent cheers and chants echoed throughout the vicinity. This presented a formidable challenge for Vijay’s entourage as they endeavored to navigate the exuberant gathering.
Vijay, in a gesture of appreciation, shared a visual depiction of the immense assemblage of fans who had convened to catch a glimpse of him, extending his heartfelt gratitude to his supporters from Kerala. In the video footage, he tenderly addressed them as “Ente aniyathimaar, aniyanmaar, chettanmaar, chechimaar, ammamaar!”, a Malayalam expression translating to “My sisters, brothers, and mothers!” This footage was captured by Vijay himself at the Greenfield Stadium situated in Thiruvananthapuram.
Within the narrative of GOAT, Vijay is slated to undertake a dual role, thereby embodying two distinct personas. Amidst the filming in Trivandrum, his portrayal has been accentuated by an array of distinctive coiffures, further heightening anticipation surrounding the cinematic venture. In addition to Vijay’s pivotal role, the ensemble cast of the movie encompasses distinguished performers such as Prabhudheva, Prashanth, Sneha, and Laila. The melodic composition for the film is being orchestrated by the accomplished musician Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Notably, GOAT may potentially mark one of Vijay’s final forays into the realm of acting, as he has announced his intent to transition into full-time political engagement. In a declaration made in February, he unveiled his political faction christened Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. This pivotal shift from the realm of performance arts to the sphere of politics heralds a significant juncture in Vijay’s professional trajectory, rendering his current cinematic undertaking all the more poignant for his ardent devotees.
