Kota: The ultimate cutoff to enroll for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024 for entrance into Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for teacher preparation courses has been prolonged until May 15.
The examination is slated for June 12. Previously, the due date for submission of applications was set for April 30. Nevertheless, due to significant demand from students, NTA has lengthened the deadline, allowing students to apply digitally until May 15. The assessment will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Students will have the opportunity to rectify errors in their application forms from May 16 to 18. Formerly, this period was designated as May 2 to 4.
Kamal Singh Chauhan, a pedagogical authority and examination advisor at a private educational institution in Kota, remarked that NTA has released a fresh notification permitting students to apply online until
11:30 pm on May 15 and remit the application fees until 11:50 pm. Fees can be remitted through debit and credit cards, net banking, and UPI. Chauhan added that students who have completed or passed class 12 are eligible to partake in this examination.
Individuals successfully completing NCET will be eligible for enrollment in teacher preparation courses provided in 64 institutions, including IITs, NITs, Central Universities, and Regional Institutes of Education (RIE). There are a total of 4400 positions available in four IITs ~ Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, and Ropar ~ NIT Tiruchirappalli, Dr. BR Ambedkar Jalandhar, Agartala, Calicut, Kozhikode, Warangal, Puducherry, and Tiruchirappalli.
The six Central universities are Mahendragarh in Haryana, Tulmulla Ganderbal in Jammu Kashmir, Kishangarh Ajmer in Rajasthan, Kasargod in Kerala, Tiruvarur in Tamil Nadu, and Bathinda in Punjab.
