Speaking at a public meeting on Saturday, November 11th, the Chief Minister expressed his commitment to go the extra mile for the welfare of Muslims.

During his address at a rally held on the occasion of National Education Day, it was evident that this commitment was not mere rhetoric. Chief Minister Reddy stated, “For the welfare of Muslims, if my father had taken one step, I will proudly take two.” This declaration showcases his dedication to uplift the Muslim community in the state. It is worth noting that in the southern states, National Education Day is also celebrated as Minority Welfare Day.

According to the news agency PTI, significant changes have been observed in the Muslim community in the political, economic, and women’s empowerment sectors since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) came to power in 2019. Moreover, Chief Minister Reddy proudly asserted that his father was among the early leaders who advocated for reservations for poor Muslims in the country.
