As Ayodhya readies itself for its inaugural Ram Navami festivities post ‘Pran Pratistha’ at the grand Ram temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi heralded this moment as the culmination of a five-century wait, expressing that the populace now has the esteemed honor of celebrating the festival in this unique manner.
“This marks the initial Ram Navami with our Ram Lalla seated in Ayodhya’s magnificent temple. Today, the town of Ayodhya revels in unmatched exuberance as we honor this festival of Rama Navami. After half a millennium of anticipation, we now revel in this privilege of celebrating Ram Navami in Ayodhya. This is the fruit of countless years of devoted effort and sacrifice by our nation,” PM Modi shared on X.
Conveying his heartfelt salutations to the nation on this auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the Prime Minister remarked that the impressions of the Pran Pratistha event in Ayodhya continue to resonate vividly in his thoughts.
“Greetings to all my fellow citizens on the sacred day of Lord Shri Ram’s birth, Ram Navami! My soul brims with joy and contentment on this significant day. Thanks to the divine grace of Shri Ram, I, along with countless countrymen, bore witness to the Pran-Pratishtha in Ayodhya this year. The echoes of that instant in Avadhpuri linger vibrantly in my mind,” he conveyed on X.
“I firmly believe that the life and tenets of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram will serve as a robust foundation for the evolution of a flourishing India. His divine favor will invigorate the ambition of a self-reliant India,” the Prime Minister emphasized. PM Modi also paid tribute to the devout souls and saints who selflessly committed themselves to the creation of the Ram Temple.
“Lord Shri Ram dwells within the very essence of every Indian heart and spirit. This momentous first Ram Navami of the splendid Ram temple is a time to honor and commemorate the devout individuals and saints who devoted their lives to its construction,” the Prime Minister asserted.
The Uttar Pradesh government has established meticulous arrangements and heightened security measures to ensure the seamless execution of the Ram Navami celebrations in Ayodhya. A multitude of devotees filled Ayodhya’s Ram Temple on Wednesday morning, exhibiting a vibrant panorama of faith and festivity. Before visiting the temple, the devotees took a ritual bath in the sacred Saryu River.
According to officials, devotees began assembling at the ghats during the night. ‘Darshan’ commenced at the Ram Temple at 3:30 am. Regarding security measures, IG (Ayodhya Range) Praveen Kumar explained that provisions had been made for the influx of devotees.
“All areas have been divided into zones and sectors. Our volunteers and support staff have been strategically positioned. Logistics have been coordinated for heavy vehicle traffic,” the IG noted. Special attention is being given to ensure a smooth experience for the devotees.
Preparations include facilities for drinking water, vibrant tarpaulins to shield from heat, and accommodation arrangements for the worshippers, he added. The celebration will be showcased on nearly one hundred grand LED screens throughout Ayodhya and streamed live on the trust’s social media platforms, the trust revealed in a post on X.
