Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala law enforcement authorities have announced dispatching a delegation to Arunachal Pradesh regarding the demise of three individuals from the state amid suspicions swirling around the involvement of occult practices.

The Kerala law enforcement officials, however, refrain from definitively attributing the incident to sorcery. Commissioner C Nagaraju of Thiruvananthapuram city police remarked on the apparent peculiarity in the behavior of the trio—a wedded couple and a lady—yet cautioned against drawing firm conclusions pending scrutiny of their mobile devices and other electronic gadgets.

“We refrain from ascribing it to sorcery or similar phenomena. Our task force is scheduled to depart this evening. Upon completion of the requisite procedures, tangible evidence may be obtained. Nonetheless, this process will necessitate some time,” articulated the high-ranking official of the metropolitan police force.

He further iterated the imperative to ascertain the motives behind the trio’s visit and the circumstances surrounding their demise. The official also disclosed a lack of information regarding similar groups at first glance.

“However, we must delve into the formation of this particular group and discern their shared objectives. Law enforcement in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lower Subansiri district made a grim discovery on Tuesday, uncovering three lifeless bodies within a hotel room under mysterious circumstances.

The couple from Kottayam and their companion from Thiruvananthapuram were discovered deceased within a chamber at Hotel Blue Pine in Hapoli, the district’s administrative center, according to police sources. The deceased individuals were identified as Arya from Thiruvananthapuram and Naveen along with his spouse Devi from Kottayam.

Meanwhile, Soorya Krishnamoorthy, an aficionado of the arts and a cultural advocate, who shares a familial connection with the deceased couple, relayed insights suggesting the involvement of sorcery, as per Devi’s father—a wildlife photographer.

“The news reached them in the afternoon. He (the father) conveyed suspicions that the couple had succumbed to the entanglements of sorcery. All three victims were highly educated. Consequently, it is a matter of grave concern if they indeed fell prey to such machinations. Public awareness campaigns must be initiated to combat this,” he asserted.

He also disclosed that the couple were practitioners of Ayurveda medicine. Locals residing in proximity to Naveen’s family attested to the couple’s marital union thirteen years prior and their occasional visits to Naveen’s parents.

The trio checked into the hotel on March 28. Authorities in Arunachal Pradesh initially lean towards suicide as the cause, yet await the comprehensive autopsy report to establish a conclusive determination.

While Naveen engaged in online trading, his spouse Devi imparted lessons in German at a private institution, and Arya served as a French instructor at the same academic establishment.
