Governor CV Ananda Bose of West Bengal expressed concern on Thursday concerning potential jeopardy to his security because of the presence of the present cadre of Kolkata Police stationed at Raj Bhavan on this locale.
His declaration follows his latest directive for the regulation enforcement personnel to vacate the premises of Raj Bhavan. However, they persist of their duties throughout the gubernatorial residence.
“I harbor apprehensions that the incumbent officer-in-charge and his associates pose a threat to my private safety,” asserted Bose in his dialog with PTI. “I’ve conveyed my sense of insecurity concerning the Kolkata Police inside Raj Bhavan to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but no remedial measures have been undertaken,” he added.
Insiders on the Governor’s residence disclosed that Bose has formally raised grievances with the state administration concerning persistent surveillance by the police personnel stationed at Raj Bhavan. He perceives their actions to be on the behest of exterior “influential figures.”
