Amidst an ongoing land dispute, an individual purportedly hurled corrosive substance upon his younger sibling and three additional kin, comprising two juveniles, within the jurisdiction of Nokha police station in Bikaner during the nocturnal hours of Sunday.
The quartet, inclusive of Ashok, his spouse, and offspring, suffered severe scalds and were subsequently admitted to the Trauma Centre of PBM Hospital, wherein they are presently receiving medical care.
The incident transpired whilst Ashok, a denizen of Mandi Employees Colony in Nokha, and his kin were in repose. Ashok recounted that his senior sibling discharged the corrosive substance upon them through the aperture. “Initially, I was confounded regarding the nature of the substance hurled at us and solely experienced a sensation of burning. Subsequently, upon hearing my spouse and progeny wailing in agony, I comprehended that corrosive material had been cast upon us. Promptly, we evacuated our domicile,” Ashok articulated.
With the assistance of neighboring denizens, they were conveyed to Nokha Hospital, subsequently being referred to Bikaner post-receiving preliminary medical attention. Presently, they are undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre of PBM Hospital.
Upon being apprised, a contingent of law enforcement personnel arrived at PBM Hospital. Aditya Kakade, an official from Nokha police station, asserted that prima facie evidence indicates that the occurrence ensued as a consequence of a property feud between the two siblings. “The victim’s testimony remains unattainable, given his ongoing medical treatment,” Kakade remarked.
