Amidst the political landscape, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asserted on the eve of the Lok Sabha elections that an entity associated with Congress elites was manipulating the name of RSS to disseminate propaganda against the incumbent party. The BJP, through a delegation comprising prominent members such as Arun Singh, Sanjay Mayukh, and Om Pathak, formally approached the Election Commission, urging stringent measures against these activities.
The delegation implored the commission to initiate legal proceedings against the purportedly spurious organization and issue a formal notification to the Congress party. As of now, the Congress has not issued any immediate response to these allegations. Singh, addressing the press, elucidated that this entity endeavors to deceive the populace by illicitly leveraging the RSS name, despite the Supreme Court’s dismissal of its plea challenging its registration status.
Singh further implicated Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in orchestrating this scheme to sow confusion among the public. Allegedly, the Congress’ Seva Dal chief spearheads this counterfeit entity, disseminating messages aimed at undermining the BJP’s electoral prospects. These messages, purportedly disseminated under the guise of RSS endorsement, echo Rahul Gandhi’s rhetoric, urging the populace to resist the BJP’s purported authoritarianism.
Expressing grave concern over these developments, the BJP delegation implored the Election Commission to take decisive action, including the removal of such social media posts and the issuance of a formal notice to the Congress. The delegation emphasized that such deceptive tactics constitute a blatant violation of electoral norms and must be swiftly addressed.
The BJP further highlighted a viral video circulating on social media platforms, purportedly showcasing RSS support for the Congress-led INDIA bloc. The BJP urged the commission to compel the Congress and its Seva Dal to issue a public apology and remove all related content from their respective social media accounts, underscoring the severity of these allegations.
