Amidst the surge of entrants into the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, and YSRCP leader Varaprasad Rao Velagapalli were officially embraced by the ruling party at the Centre in the presence of the party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde and Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
During the induction gathering, the former Air chief expressed gratitude towards the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for pivotal decisions made over the past decade.
“I extend my appreciation to PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, and all members for granting me this chance to serve the party and contribute to national progress. Serving and leading the Air Force for 40 years was a tremendous honor. The past decade has been especially significant due to the government’s momentous policy initiatives aimed at bolstering our armed forces and fostering self-reliance. These measures have instilled renewed confidence in our forces. The security-focused endeavors underway today will lay the groundwork for the envisioned India,” remarked Bhadauria.
Following his BJP enrollment, Varaprasad Rao Velagapalli lauded PM Modi’s dynamic leadership, stating, “Throughout my political career, I have not encountered a leader as dynamic as PM Modi. During my tenure as an MP from 2014-19, I witnessed his dynamic decision-making. I deeply admire the BJP’s efforts in purging the system of corruption and advancing developmental agendas. The progress witnessed in rural areas and the upliftment of marginalized communities has left a lasting impression on me,” he added.
Union Minister Thakur emphasized that the youth envision a secure India under PM Modi’s leadership. “A prosperous, secure, and developed India is achievable solely under the stewardship of Narendra Modi. The longstanding demand of our soldiers for ‘One Rank, One Pension’ was met by Narendra Modi,” affirmed Thakur. Tawde noted the former Air chief’s active participation in PM Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative.
