In the heart of New Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj, a prominent figure within the BJP, launched a scathing critique against the AAP, questioning the official status of Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Swaraj, a key member of the Delhi BJP and contender for the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, didn’t hold back as she lambasted the INDIA bloc, labeling their recent gathering at Ramlila ground as a futile attempt to deceive the populace on matters of corruption.

Responding to Swaraj’s verbal assault, AAP’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar retaliated, asserting that the BJP trembled in the face of the overwhelming public backing for Kejriwal showcased during the rally.

During a press briefing, Swaraj raised eyebrows by demanding clarity from the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the purported official role of Sunita Kejriwal, citing her utilization of the Chief Minister’s platform for media engagements.

Drawing attention to Sunita Kejriwal’s digital briefings, which strikingly resembled those of her husband, Swaraj raised pertinent questions surrounding her newfound prominence in the political arena, particularly following Arvind Kejriwal’s recent entanglement with the Enforcement Directorate in connection to alleged money laundering activities related to the liquor trade.

Swaraj further probed the AAP’s silence on the denial of bail to its leaders implicated in the same liquor scandal, notably Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, both of whom have been incarcerated for several months.

Leveraging her familial legacy as the daughter of the late BJP stalwart Sushma Swaraj, Bansuri challenged the AAP to address allegations of Arvind Kejriwal’s avoidance of ED summons, insinuating a calculated strategy to exploit the victim narrative post-arrest.

Moreover, Swaraj alleged a lackluster attendance at the INDIA bloc’s recent rally, particularly during Rahul Gandhi’s speech, casting doubts on the coalition’s claim of widespread public support.

Accusing the coalition partners, including the Trinamool Congress and the Left parties, of sidelining the Congress in states under their governance, Bansuri decried what she perceived as a betrayal of the grand old party.

In a spirited counterattack, AAP’s Kakkar rallied the INDIA bloc against what she characterized as the BJP’s despotic regime, accusing the ruling party of shielding corrupt figures and operating an extortion racket.

Kakkar took aim at Swaraj’s moral high ground on corruption, citing her past defense of allegedly corrupt individuals during her legal career, dubbing the irony palpable.
