Tensions seem to simmer between the BJP and its ideological parent, the RSS, suggesting discord beneath the surface. Renowned RSS figure, Indresh Kumar, didn’t mince words when assessing the aftermath of the Lok Sabha elections, casting a critical eye on the ruling BJP for what he labeled as ‘arrogance.’ Equally, he took aim at the opposition INDIA bloc, branding them ‘anti-Ram.’
Addressing the gathering at the ‘Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh’ near Jaipur, Kumar, a national executive member of the RSS, refrained from explicitly naming the adversaries but insinuated that their stances were reflected in the election results. “The party that once worshipped Lord Ram but succumbed to arrogance was capped at 240, yet it emerged as the largest party,” he remarked, evidently pointing towards the BJP led by Narendra Modi, securing 240 seats in the Lok Sabha.
“Meanwhile, those who lacked faith in Ram were collectively limited to 234,” he continued, presumably alluding to the INDIA bloc. “Observe the ‘Vidhan’ of Ram Rajya in democracy; those who initially worshipped Ram but later became arrogant saw their ascendancy halted, while those who opposed Ram failed to seize power. God intervened due to their arrogance,” he elaborated.
“Those who revere Ram should embrace humility, while those who oppose him face divine retribution,” he emphasized. “Ram, impartial and just, doesn’t inflict suffering. He delivers justice to all, and always will,” Kumar affirmed.
Furthermore, Kumar highlighted Lord Ram’s benevolence even towards Ravana, underscoring a message of inclusivity. His comments follow closely after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s assertion that true ‘sevaks’ uphold humility and serve with dignity.
