A pupil from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kozhikode, purportedly met his demise by his own hands on Monday, as per the authorities.
The departed, Yogeshwarnath Mothukuru, a third-year scholar in the field of mechanical engineering, hailed originally from Maharashtra. The police are currently interrogating his peers and fellow residents in relation to this occurrence.
The family of the student has been notified, and the body has been relocated for further examination, disclosed an official from the local precinct. Inquiries are in progress, he noted. At first glance, it appears that the pupil plunged from his quarters earlier this morning, he appended.
This event arises three months subsequent to the discovery of a deceased student on the premises. Nidin Sharma, a sophomore studying electrical engineering, reportedly succumbed to self-inflicted means on the fifteenth day of February. Antecedent to this, on the fifth day of December in the year 2022, Yashwant (22), a resident of Telangana, also elected to terminate his existence.
