In a significant turn of events, Smriti Irani, a Central Minister, held a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Saturday, November 4, during the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Election 2023. During the press conference, she made startling allegations against the state’s Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, accusing him of accepting a bribe of 508 crore rupees. Smriti Irani went on to claim, “In a case related to money laundering, Shubham Soni has stated in his written statement that the promoters of the Mahadev App have admitted to giving Bhupesh Baghel 508 crores.”

Smriti Irani’s Accusations

Smriti Irani did not mince words when she accused Bhupesh Baghel of playing a high-stakes game while being in power. Shocking revelations have emerged concerning the state’s Chief Minister. An individual named Seema Das has confessed to having received more than 5.30 crore rupees. Irani had some pressing questions to ask, “Is it true that Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh used Shubham Soni as a conduit to funnel money to Asim Das?”

Smriti Irani further inquired if it was true that an order was issued through a voice message by Shubham Soni for him to visit Raipur and provide funds for Bhupesh Baghel’s election expenses. Moreover, she raised questions about money being seized from Kota Das at Hotel Trident on November 2. Lastly, she questioned whether it was indeed true that a violation of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act occurred, with 15.50 crore rupees transferred from various bank accounts hidden beneath a refrigerator.

BJP’s Allegations Against CM Baghel

The BJP leader’s allegations against CM Bhupesh Baghel are not taken lightly. It’s believed that the investigative agencies may possess evidence in Shubham Soni’s voice, as stated in a written statement. In the statement, it is claimed that the promoters of the Mahadev App provided a whopping 538 crore rupees to Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

However, this is not the only shocking revelation; another startling fact has come to light.

The promoters of the Mahadev Offline Book App had sought security funds from the administration and Congress leaders. They did this through an officer named Chandra Bhushan Verma. Verma has so far alleged a bribe of 65 crore rupees.

The allegations made by Smriti Irani against Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, have created a stir in the political landscape. These revelations during the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Election 2023 raise serious concerns about the integrity of the state’s leadership.

It remains to be seen how these allegations will be investigated and whether any substantial evidence will be brought forward to support these claims. The upcoming days are sure to be filled with political intrigue as these developments unfold.
