The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) unveiled the outcome of the Civil Services Examination 2023 on Tuesday, with Aditya Srivastava of Lucknow achieving the highest rank.

Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy attained the second and third positions, respectively. Altogether, 1,016 candidates (664 male and 352 female) have been nominated by the Commission for placement in various administrative roles. Among the top five finalists, three men and two women took the spotlight.

The Civil Services Examination, conducted yearly in three phases—preliminary, main, and interview—by the UPSC, serves as a selection process for officers in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other distinguished services.
