Kullu (Himachal Pradesh): A tragic incident occurred in the Kotseri Panchayat area of Anni within the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh when a car veered off course and plummeted into a ravine, claiming the lives of four individuals, as reported by local authorities on Friday.
A high-ranking law enforcement official detailed that the vehicle’s driver lost command, resulting in the car’s descent into the ditch. “All four occupants perished immediately. The victims were en route to Kotseri Panchayat. Police personnel and community members promptly arrived at the scene and successfully retrieved the remains,” the officer stated.
Kullu Superintendent of Police, Dr. Gokul Chandran Karthikeya, disclosed that the bodies would undergo post-mortem examinations at Anni Hospital. “Once the post-mortem is concluded, the bodies will be entrusted to their respective families,” the SP confirmed.
The departed were identified as Veer Singh, Happy, Surendra, and Sonu. Law enforcement announced an investigation under relevant Indian Penal Code provisions and has launched an inquiry into the matter. Anni MLA Lokendra Kumar extended his condolences regarding the loss of the four individuals.
In a separate incident on Thursday, a school bus capsized in the Mahendragarh district of Haryana, resulting in the deaths of six school children and injuring 20 others.
