The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has anticipated showers, electrical storms, and brisk winds across Delhi, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh this Monday.

In the national capital, IMD foresees a peak temperature around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will hover near 20 degrees Celsius. From Tuesday through Thursday, the forecast suggests no precipitation, but partially overcast skies with forceful gusts of wind.

Delhi’s highest temperature on Sunday registered at 32.2 degrees Celsius, marking a drop of 7 degrees Celsius compared to the sweltering 39.1 degrees Celsius observed on April 11, which was the warmest day of the season so far.

The morning bulletin from the meteorological authority elucidated that a cyclonic circulation is situated over northeast Rajasthan with an east-west axis extending towards Gangetic West Bengal, covering southern Bihar, northern Jharkhand, and southern Uttar Pradesh in the lower tropospheric layer.

The bulletin added that “High moisture influx from the Arabian Sea is expected to impact Northwest India on 15th April.”

A novel Western Disturbance is predicted to influence Northwest India starting 18 April. Consequently, expansive rain or snowfall accompanied by flashes of lightning, thunderstorms, and forceful winds will transpire over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Baltistan, and Gilgit on April 15.
