A serious collision occurred when a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus struck a roadside barrier in the Rajouri Garden vicinity of West Delhi on Thursday, according to police reports. This mishap left at least 18 individuals, including the bus operator and conductor, injured, three of whom sustained severe injuries.

Emergency responders and onlookers swiftly attended to the incident, transporting the injured to nearby medical facilities. The bus, journeying between Sarai Kale Khan and Nangloi, veered into a divider on the ring road at approximately 11:40 am, authorities stated.

Of the injured, 15 were taken to ESIC Hospital in Basai Darapur while three were moved to DDU Hospital. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer mentioned that a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged under pertinent legal provisions at the Rajouri Garden police station. A forensic examination team was summoned to the scene for investigative purposes.

“The precise cause of the accident will be determined after a thorough analysis by the forensic team and a technical assessment of the bus,” Veer said.
