The somber incident transpired at the stroke of midnight on Bhadson Road in Patiala, when their speeding vehicle collided with a sturdy tree. Six occupants were aboard the vehicle, wherein the impact proved fatal for four, while the remaining two endured severe injuries.
Promptly alerted, a contingent from Bakhshiwala police precinct swiftly mobilized for a rescue mission at the scene. The vehicular wreckage necessitated the employment of tractors to extricate the casualties from the mangled remains. The injured were promptly conveyed to a nearby medical facility, whereas the deceased were slated for post-mortem examination.
