New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations unveiled the outcomes for the ISC (Grade 12) and ICSE (Grade 10) assessments on Monday. A striking 99.47 per cent of pupils succeeded in the Grade 10 examinations, while 98.19 per cent emerged triumphant in the Grade 12 assessments, as conveyed by CISCE.

“In the Grade 10 cohort, the success rate among boys stands at 99.31 per cent, whereas that of girls reaches 99.65 per cent. Similarly, boys have attained a success rate of 97.53 per cent in the Grade 12 assessments, while girls have achieved 98.92 per cent,” disclosed CISCE’s Chief Executive and Secretary, Joseph Emmanuel.

The pronouncement of the ICSE and ISC outcomes took place during a media briefing convened at the council’s headquarters situated at Plot No. 35 & 36, Sector VI, Pushp Vihar, Saket, New Delhi 110017.

The council has refrained from disclosing the identities of ICSE and ISC top performers as a preventive measure against fostering “unhealthy rivalry” among students. This aligns CISCE with other regional and national educational boards such as CBSE, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh, which opt not to publicize the identities of exam toppers.

In the Grade 10 domain, the most accomplished schools internationally hail from Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai, boasting a flawless 100 per cent success rate. Conversely, in Grade 12, the top-performing institutions are situated in Singapore and Dubai.

The ICSE examination (Grade 10) encompassed 60 written subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 13 foreign languages, and one classical language. Initiated on February 21 and concluded on March 28, the ICSE assessments spanned over 18 days.

Meanwhile, the ISC examination (Grade 12) comprised 47 written subjects, incorporating 12 Indian languages, four foreign languages, and two classical languages. For ISC, the examination period commenced on February 12 and culminated on April 4, extending across 28 days.
