Vijayan asserted that prior to 2016, a considerable exodus of five lakh pupils had forsaken state-run and affiliated schools for ostensibly superior alternatives, yet the government orchestrated a return, surpassing this figure twofold through its expansive educational endeavor.
“This achievement was cultivated through the synergistic efforts of students, educators, alumni, Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), and the wider populace,” he remarked following the ceremonial commencement of the distribution of updated textbooks and attire at Cotton Hill School in this locale. Furthermore, a plethora of financial reservoirs, notably spearheaded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), were tapped to refurbish myriad governmental educational facilities and fortify rudimentary infrastructure across approximately 2,000 state-managed learning establishments, he appended.
Moreover, numerous technologically progressive amenities such as laptops and robotic apparatuses were furnished to several schools, thereby catapulting them into the echelons of advanced pedagogy. Vijayan staunchly endorsed the various reforms instigated and determinations enacted by the department of general education, including the transition towards a learner-centric paradigm, aimed at enhancing the caliber of state-administered schools. Emphasizing his government’s unwavering commitment towards augmenting scholastic prowess within public educational domains since inception, he delineated the formulation of a comprehensive blueprint.
