Amidst his rapid traverse across various regions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a grand procession in the metropolis of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, on the 9th of April. This event aims to bolster the electoral prospects of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contenders in the imminent Lok Sabha elections commencing on the 19th of April.

In the electoral fray, Tamilisai Soundararjan emerges as the BJP’s contender for South Chennai, pitted against Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (DMK) Tamilachi Thangapandian. Meanwhile, Vinoj P Selvam engages in a formidable contest against DMK stalwart Dayanidhi Maran in Central Chennai.

Per the outlined agenda, the Prime Minister is slated to traverse Thiyagaraya Road within the bustling T. Nagar enclave. K Annamalai, the BJP’s state president, affirms that the procession will traverse precincts encompassing both South Chennai and Central Chennai.

In anticipation of the Prime Minister’s ceremonial passage through Chennai, traffic diversions have been orchestrated, complemented by heightened security measures in the vicinity. Prime Minister Modi’s sojourn in Tamil Nadu extends over a span of two days, punctuated by his participation in two public assemblies slated for Wednesday.

With BJP’s nonexistence in Tamil Nadu’s Lok Sabha representation, concerted endeavors are underway to manifest a formidable presence in the forthcoming parliamentary elections, under the dynamic stewardship of the assertive party president, Annamalai.

Furthermore, BJP spearheads a coalition, inclusive of Pattali Makkal Katchi and Tamil Maanila Congress-Moopanar, in pre-electoral concordance.

Beyond the precincts of Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Modi is poised to deliver an address at a public gathering in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, while concurrently galvanizing BJP’s electoral campaign in the Naxal-afflicted terrain of Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. This marks the Prime Minister’s second visit to Madhya Pradesh within a span of three days.
