In the bustling city of New Delhi, there are murmurs that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is poised to partake in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, a journey spearheaded by former party luminary Rahul Gandhi. Commencing from the heart of Uttar Pradesh in Moradabad on February 24, this information comes from reliable sources. It’s noteworthy that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, in a prior expression of anticipation, conveyed her regret at missing the earlier leg of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on February 16 due to her health setback.

In her own words, “My eager anticipation for the BJNY in UP today has been eclipsed by an unexpected hospitalization. I pledge to join as soon as my health permits! Meanwhile, I extend my best wishes to all the yatris, my industrious colleagues in UP orchestrating the yatra, and my dear brother, as they traverse Chandauli today,” Priyanka Gandhi shared on a platform referred to as X.

Having sought medical attention at Sir Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi for dehydration and stomach infection, the Congress leader has since been discharged post-treatment, according to insider information circulated on Monday. On the same day, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent figure within the Congress ranks, recommenced his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, embarking from the precincts of Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi.

This seasoned Congress leader is currently engaged in an extensive Manipur-Mumbai Yatra, spanning across 15 states in anticipation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, tentatively scheduled for April-May this year. It’s worth noting that Amethi, once a stronghold for the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh, witnessed Rahul Gandhi succumbing to defeat against Smriti Irani by a margin of approximately 55,000 votes during the 2019 elections. The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ by Congress, succeeding the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, is ambitiously charting a course of 6,700 km traversing 15 states, aligning with the imminent Lok Sabha polls.
