The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) foretold scorching conditions looming over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka, alongside prophesying sporadic rains and hailstorms in east, central, and peninsular India until April 9. Meanwhile, the capital city of New Delhi, amidst daytime sweltering and nocturnal chill, anticipates clear skies on Monday.

According to meteorological projections, isolated regions in Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka, and Telangana brace for heatwave anomalies on April 8. In Karnataka, the heatwave’s grip tightens over various districts including Belagavi, Bidar, and Vijayapura. Notably, temperatures are set to ascend by 2-4°C across north interior Karnataka and several districts of South Interior Karnataka in the next two days.

The IMD also envisages thunderstorms, lightning, and brisk winds sweeping through Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada on Monday. These meteorological phenomena are expected to manifest with varying intensities, ranging from 30-50 kmph gusts in some areas to 40-50 kmph in others, alongside potential hailstorms.

Moreover, IMD forecasts scattered to widespread light to moderate rainfall, interspersed with thunderstorms, lightning, and breezy winds (30-50 kmph) over Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Gangetic West Bengal during April 7-11. Similarly, Madhya Maharashtra is slated for such weather conditions during April 9-11.
