In the aftermath of the tragic triple homicide that unfolded in Lucknow on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Police apprehended the implicated culprits on Sunday. The arrested individuals, a familial pair consisting of Lallan, also known as Siraj, and his progeny Faraz, stand accused in the heinous crime.
This gruesome incident transpired in the precincts of Mohammed Nagar within Lucknow’s Mahilabad, where the father-son duo callously gunned down three family members, including an adolescent male, amid a contentious property dispute. Astonishingly, the perpetrators themselves suffered injuries during the gunfire exchange, underscoring their connection as relatives to the victims.
As per reports from the Press Trust of India (PTI), the roots of this tragedy delve into a land-related feud between the family of 40-year-old Farheen Khan and their close kin. The skirmish escalated when Khan’s family summoned the ‘lekhpal’—the official responsible for land records—to survey the disputed terrain. The confrontation unfolded as their relatives arrived in an SUV, leading to a heated verbal altercation between the two factions.
Tragically, the verbal sparring escalated into a violent exchange, with the opposing side resorting to gunfire. This act of aggression left five individuals, including Khan, her 17-year-old son Hanjala, her uncle Muneer Ahmed, alias Taj, and two others, wounded. Subsequently rushed to the hospital, Khan, her son, and Ahmed succumbed to their injuries, as declared by medical professionals.
