G7 Summit: India Targets Energy Breakthroughs

Embarking on his inaugural overseas journey in his third tenure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alighted in Italy, summoned by his counterpart Giorgia Meloni to partake in the G7 Summit. India’s agenda during this sojourn encompasses artificial intelligence, energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean.

In the picturesque region of Apulia, located in southern Italy, the Prime Minister will engage in the Outreach session of the G7 Summit, conducting bilateral dialogues on an array of global issues with distinguished world leaders this Friday. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has touched down at Brindisi Airport, Italy, for his participation in the G7 Summit,” proclaimed Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in a video dispatch from the aerodrome.

He elaborated, “Friday is an exceptionally busy day for the Prime Minister. A multitude of bilateral meetings with global leaders are on the docket. He will also deliver an address at the Outreach session of the G7 Summit.” During this whirlwind visit, Modi will engage in a summit session titled Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Africa-Mediterranean, hosted by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and graced by the presence of Pope Francis. The Pontiff is anticipated to hold bilateral discussions with Modi, who has a series of high-profile meetings lined up with global dignitaries on the periphery of the summit, taking place at the opulent resort of Borgo Egnazia.
