In a proclamation issued on Monday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) unveiled the outcomes for the Class 10 and 12 examinations. Once more, female candidates have surpassed their male counterparts in the CBSE Class 12 examinations, with 87.98 percent of students triumphing in the evaluation. This marks a slight upsurge from the preceding year’s overall pass rate of 87.33 percent. Officials indicated that 91.52 percent of female candidates successfully completed the examination, marking a notable 6.40 percentage points more than the male counterparts’ pass rate.
An authoritative source conveyed that a grand total of 24,068 candidates have achieved scores surpassing 95 percent, while 1,16,145 students have achieved scores exceeding 90 percent. Additionally, over 1.22 lakh aspirants have been categorized under ‘compartment’. It’s noted that this year’s figure is somewhat lower than the previous year’s tally, as conveyed by the authorities. This year, the examination was administered across 7,126 centers, with a participation of over 16.21 lakh candidates.
The CBSE disclosed the results for the Class 10 examination, with a commendable 93.60 percent of students emerging victorious. Female students have once again outperformed their male counterparts by 2.04 percentage points, as stated by officials, with 94.75 percent of female candidates achieving success in the assessment. Moreover, more than 47,000 students have achieved scores exceeding 95 percent, while over 2.12 lakh students have surpassed the 90 percent mark. Officials further disclosed that a surplus of 1.32 lakh students has been placed under ‘compartment’, marking a marginal decline from the previous year.
