In a tragic incident on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway near the town of Nadiad in Gujarat’s Kheda district, a speeding car collided with a truck, resulting in the loss of 10 lives on Wednesday, according to law enforcement officials.
“The car was traveling towards Ahmedabad from Vadodara when it crashed into the back of the truck on the expressway. Eight individuals perished instantly at the scene, while two others, who were rushed to a nearby medical facility via ambulance, later succumbed to their injuries,” stated Inspector Kirit Chaudhary from the Nadiad Rural police station.
Nadiad MLA Pankaj Desai speculated that the truck may have halted in the left lane of the expressway due to a technical malfunction, leaving the car driver with insufficient time to react and avoid the collision.
