Amidst the corridors of Chandigarh’s political landscape, the demise of Haryana’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) State President, Nafe Singh Rathee, reverberates with a sinister echo. Four sunsets hence, he met his demise, an event shrouded in the murky alliance of power and criminality. The orchestrator of this macabre symphony, a felon residing in the United Kingdom, brazenly takes credit for the act, implicating Rathee in a dubious land acquisition scheme entwined with his rival, the notorious gangster Manjeet Mahal.
In the digital realm of Instagram, the alleged mastermind, Kapil Sangwan, known as Nandu in clandestine circles, spills the ink of his confession. Under the handle ‘@kapilnandu4i5w,’ he pens, “I orchestrated the demise of Nafe Singh Rathee, driven by the unholy alliance between him and my nemesis, Manjeet Mahal.”
Mahal, a specter of rival criminality haunting Sangwan, is spotlighted in a damning photograph shared by Nandu on the platform. “On the ominous Sunday of 25th February, Nafe Singh Rathee succumbed to the shadows, and it was my hand that dealt the final blow. The nexus of kinship between Nafe Singh Rathee and Manjeet Mahal fueled this demise,” Nandu’s confession echoes in Hindi.
In a cryptic warning, Nandu declares, “Those who clasp hands with my adversaries shall share a similar destiny. I stand as a bulwark for the foes of my foes, and a barrage of 50 bullets awaits them. Nafe Singh Rathee, with his influence, orchestrated a symphony of demise and manipulated the soil beneath, a tale etched into the very fabric of Bahadurgarh.”
Who is Kapil Sangwan, or Nandu, as the underbelly of Delhi’s shadows knows him? A fugitive etched in the annals of Delhi Police records, marked by heinous transgressions, including the stain of murder. The year 2019 granted him a brief respite from incarceration, courtesy of a one-month parole. When the stipulated resumption date elapsed without his surrender to the legal embrace, the authorities initiated a manhunt.
By then, Nandu had vanished from the Indian canvas, transmuting his identity through a counterfeit passport to the realms of Thailand. Subsequently, he vanished from Thai soil, reemerging as a shadow in the sovereign expanse of Britain. The spectral silhouette of Nandu now lurks in the alleys of the United Kingdom, a fugitive eluding the clutches of justice.
