Amidst the rejection of the Ram Temple event invitation by Congress leaders, the BJP unleashed a vehement assault on the INDIA bloc, disseminating a poster adorned with images of opposition figures.
In the wake of the Congress leadership’s refusal to partake in the Ramlala Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched an acerbic assault on the INDIA bloc. They disseminated a poster featuring photographs of opposition figures, namely Sonia Gandhi from the Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party luminary Akhilesh Yadav, and CPI’s Sitaram Yechurry.
This visual proclamation surfaced subsequent to the rejection of the invitation by Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, to participate in the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22 at the Ram Temple. The BJP labeled these opposition leaders as ‘Anti-Sanatan’ or anti-Hindu.
“Identify the countenances of those opposing Sanatan values, the ones who declined the invitation to the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony,” proclaimed the saffron party in a post on X.
Regarding the Congress leaders’ decision to abstain from the ‘Pranpratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Digvijaya Singh, a prominent member of the party, remarked, “How many invitees have actually accepted the invitation? No revered religious leader has acknowledged it. Objections have been raised. According to religious scriptures, the consecration of any idol cannot take place in a temple that remains incomplete; it is deemed inauspicious. It’s not just the Congress; all political factions with invitations – Shiv Sena, RJD, JD(U), TMC, CPI, CPI(M) – who among them is participating? Even Shiv Sena, the force behind the Babri Masjid demolition, has declined. Lord Ram is a shared heritage. We would gladly visit the temple, but let the construction reach completion first. This has been turned into an event led by BJP and VHP.”
