In a sorrowful incident, a scholar originating from Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh met his demise in a vehicular mishap in the United States where he pursued advanced studies, as per sources close to the family on Wednesday.
It was relayed by relatives that Achanta Revanth (22) from the vicinity of Bodavada in Parchur Mandal of Bapatla, was en route to a birthday celebration with three companions during the early hours of Tuesday Indian time when their vehicle lost control amidst adverse weather conditions, resulting in an overturn.
The vehicle careened off course, leading to a significant collision, as relayed by family insiders. Regrettably, Revanth perished in the accident while the status of his other acquaintances remains undisclosed, they supplemented.
The tragic demise of the young individual has plunged his kindred in Bapatla into a state of shock and mourning. Revanth’s mother had passed away several years prior, while his father, Achanta Raghubabu, is employed as a physical therapist.
The deceased youth, Revanth, journeyed to the United States at the conclusion of last year to finalize his B. Tech degree and pursue a Master of Science program. It is reported that he was enrolled at Dakota State University situated in the Madison vicinity of the United States.
The youth’s demise marks the third instance of an Andhra Pradesh resident succumbing to a road accident in the United States since Saturday. Notably, a woman from the Vijaywada district of Andhra Pradesh and her five-year-old daughter perished following a collision between their vehicle and another in Portland, United States, on Saturday, March 30.
According to reports, the incident occurred near the Woodburn locality on highway 211 towards Hubbard in Oregon. While Hanika lost her life instantaneously, her mother, Kamatham Geetanjali (32), who was undergoing medical treatment at a Portland hospital, passed away on Tuesday, as per reports.
