“The squally wind’s pace is poised to reach 35-45 kmph, with gusts escalating to 55 kmph over Arunachal Pradesh, Eastern Assam, Meghalaya, and Mizoram,” as asserted by the IMD. With the cyclonic tempest Remal diminishing into a profound despondency, copious rainfall is anticipated to persist across segments of West Bengal and the northeastern regions. Torrential rains and thunderstorms, catalyzed by Cyclone Remal, have left at least 37 individuals deceased in the northeastern realms, notably Mizoram, the most severely afflicted, with numerous still unaccounted for.
