Wayanad (Kerala): The Election Commission’s flying squad conducted a meticulous examination of Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter at the Nilgiri Helipad in Tamil Nadu, near the boundary of Wayanad. The assessment transpired in Talur, Nilgiri district, in proximity to Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi arrived in Wayanad today to further his campaign for the ongoing elections.
Rahul Gandhi’s chopper touched down at Nilgiri Arts and Science College at precisely 9:30 AM, where the rigorous scrutiny of his aircraft took place. Preliminary findings suggest that no irregularities were identified during the examination.
Subsequently, Rahul Gandhi conducted a public procession in Sultan Bathery, Wayanad, as he seeks re-election for a consecutive term in the current Lok Sabha polls. The procession navigated through Sultan Bathery town without the presence of party flags. Instead, supporters held balloons and placards bearing Rahul Gandhi’s image. The turnout was impressive, with hundreds of participants joining the procession.
Sultan Bathery MLA IC Balakrishnan also joined Rahul Gandhi’s campaign efforts. Today, six engagements have been scheduled for Rahul Gandhi within Wayanad district. Besides Sultan Bathery, roadshows are planned for Mananthavady, Vellamunda, and Vikhamthara. Should timing constraints arise, some events may be abbreviated. Rahul Gandhi is also slated to address a gathering of agriculturalists in Pulpally and meet the Bishop of Mananthavady. The day’s itinerary concludes with his attendance at the UDF rally in Kozhikode in the evening.
