Tragedy befell a quartet, including a juvenile female, who perished while six others sustained injuries following the plummet of their vehicle from a bridge situated in Karnataka’s Haveri district on Thursday, as disclosed by authorities.
The incident unfolded at the stroke of midnight close to Halageri on National Highway 48 within Ranebennur Taluk of Haveri while the automobile traversed towards Tirupati. At initial glance, it appears the conveyance veered off the bridge onto the auxiliary route, resulting in an overturn, a Haveri Police official remarked.
The departed individuals have been identified as Suresh (aged 45), Aishwarya (aged 22), Chetana (aged 7), and Pramila (aged 28). They hailed from Ashwini Nagar in Haveri. Among them, Suresh, Aishwarya, and Chetana succumbed to their injuries instantly, whereas Pramila breathed her last during medical intervention at Ranebennur Government Hospital, appended the official.
