Guwahati/Rangia: A second-year IIT-Guwahati scholar was discovered lifeless in his hostel chamber, according to the local authorities on Friday. Kamrup’s law enforcement official, Ranjan Bhuyan, mentioned that the body was located in his quarters at Dihing hostel on Wednesday. Additionally, a farewell message was found.

“He conveyed in the message that no one bears responsibility for his demise. At first glance, there appears to be no evidence of foul play. Nonetheless, our inquiry persists to unearth further insights,” he informed PTI. Following the autopsy and necessary legal processes, the remains have been sent with his parents to their home in Samastipur, Bihar, as the SP noted.

The deceased student was identified as Saurabh, a scholar in the Computer Science Department.
