New Delhi: India on Thursday urged its residents to not journey to Lebanon and urged these residing within the West Asian nation to train warning amid heightened tensions following the killing of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. That is the second advisory issued by the Indian Embassy in Beirut since July 29. There are round 4,000 Indian nationals in Lebanon.
The advisory stated that in view of heightened tensions within the area, Indian nationals are suggested to keep away from pointless journey to Lebanon. It was notable that it made no reference to the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniya and Hezbollah chief Fuad Shukr in Israeli airstrikes.
The advisory stated, “All Indian nationals in Lebanon are suggested to train warning, prohibit their actions and stay in contact with the Embassy in Beirut by means of its electronic mail ID cons.beirut@mea.gov.in or emergency cellphone quantity +96176860128.”
