During a practice flight session in Kochi, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operated by the Indian Navy experienced a mishap. The event occurred at approximately 5 pm local time at the INS Garuda base. Fortunately, no individuals sustained any injuries due to the incident.

The Indian Navy released a concise statement regarding the occurrence. It stated, “At approximately 5 PM, a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA)/Searcher, while undertaking a standard training flight at INS Garuda, Kochi, encountered an accident roughly one mile away from the designated runway.” The statement emphasized that no harm befell any individuals, nor was there any damage to property.

Taking prompt action, a specialized team promptly journeyed to the location to ensure the UAV was safely secured following the crash. Additionally, an investigative inquiry has been initiated to comprehensively examine the circumstances surrounding the event.
