New Delhi: In the aftermath of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s inability to secure an unequivocal majority in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Congress luminary Shashi Tharoor on June 8, took a sardonic swipe at the inauguration ceremony of Narendra Modi, expressing his preference for spectating the India-Pakistan cricket match instead of attending the event.

“I haven’t received an invitation to the swearing-in, thus I’ll be engrossed in watching the (India vs Pakistan) match,” remarked Shashi Tharoor.
