In a retaliatory move against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress asserted on Sunday that he appears “rattled” by its assurances, resorting to “unsubstantiated” accusations in a frantic bid to “safeguard his position.”

Reacting to the Prime Minister’s scathing critique of the Congress, wherein he alleged that their electoral agenda mirrored the inclinations of the Muslim League and their rhetoric exhibited antipathy towards national unity and Sanatan Dharma, a senior Congress figure, Jairam Ramesh, remarked, “The Indian populace is growing weary of the Prime Minister’s fabrications. Post-June 4, he’ll be compelled to take an extended hiatus. This is the pledge of the Indian populace!”

The electoral verdict is slated for June 4. Ramesh emphasized that the Congress’ ‘Paanch Nyay Pachees Guarantee’ is igniting fresh optimism among the Indian populace after a decade of “injustice.”

Asserting that the Congress’ pledges are the need of the moment, echoing the cries of the nation’s downtrodden, Ramesh articulated in a Hindi message on X, “The Prime Minister, shaken by this assurance, is resorting to baseless claims in his desperation to cling to power,”

During a rally in Nawada district, his second in Bihar within 72 hours, Modi extolled his ally Nitish Kumar and ailing BJP colleague Sushil Kumar Modi for steering the state away from the ‘jungle raj’ that prevailed under the Congress-RJD coalition.

“The manifesto unveiled by the Congress bears the stamp of the Muslim League. It’s not a manifesto but an endorsement of appeasement,” alleged Modi.
