In the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a peculiar commotion unfolded aboard a flight destined for Hyderabad. An errant traveler attempted an alarming feat mid-journey—endeavoring to unlatch the aircraft’s door while aloft.
This audacious act transpired as the plane soared at a staggering altitude of approximately 25,000 feet, with over 200 souls aboard. Swiftly, vigilant flight attendants intervened, quelling the disturbance. Upon touchdown in Hyderabad, a formal grievance was filed with the Hyderabad Police, culminating in the passenger’s arrest.
Intoxicated on Bhang
The dramatic incident occurred on May 21st aboard an Indigo flight departing from Indore to Hyderabad. The 29-year-old protagonist of this saga hailed from Chandragiri Nagar in Gajularamaram, Hyderabad. Reports indicate he had indulged in bhang at the Indore airport before boarding. Once airborne, his demeanor turned erratic, prompting crew members to relocate him to a different seat. Despite a brief period of compliance, he soon demanded to rejoin his companions and subsequently accosted a fellow passenger.
Attempt to Breach the Door Midair
In a startling turn of events, the passenger made an attempt to open the aircraft door while the plane was in flight. With the collaborative efforts of the airline staff and fellow passengers, he was restrained and secured to a seat with his extremities bound.
Identified as Anil Patil, the accused had recently visited Ujjain with friends and was returning to Hyderabad via the Indigo flight. Post-incident, he was surrendered to the authorities in Hyderabad. Although the police filed charges against him, he was swiftly granted bail. His family provided medical documentation, suggesting he had an underlying health condition, which facilitated his release on bail.
