A troop of military personnel has apprehended an individual of unknown identity close to the demarcation line in Rajouri district, situated within the region of Jammu and Kashmir, as per sources familiar with the matter. It has been ascertained that this individual was seized in the Nowshera vicinity of the demarcation line in Rajaouri district on the night of Friday, March 15th, following the detection of suspicious movement by troops.
Responding swiftly to the alert, the vigilant military personnel promptly took action and detained the individual, whose identity remained undisclosed at the time of capture. Subsequent to the apprehension, the individual was escorted to a nearby military encampment where an interrogation session is currently underway.
Although the identity of the detained individual remains undisclosed, reports indicate that the detainee hails from the Samhani region of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and was intercepted by the military while attempting to breach into Indian territory.
It is noteworthy to mention that the arrest of the suspected infiltrator occurred approximately a week subsequent to an incident where a citizen of Pakistan was fatally wounded by members of the Border Security Force (BSF) within the district of Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan.
In an official statement released during the aforementioned incident, a representative of the BSF Rajasthan Frontier disclosed that the Pakistani national, believed to be in his thirties, made an attempt to infiltrate near the Sunderpura BOP of Kesrisinghpur in Sriganganagar district during the night spanning March 7th and 8th.
Upon observing the suspicious behavior of the Pakistani individual endeavoring to cross the Indian border, the BSF personnel issued warnings and instructed him to desist from advancing towards the Indian territory. However, despite the warnings, the individual persisted in his actions, prompting the BSF troops to resort to firing, resulting in his demise.
