Two individuals in urgent need of medical assistance were airlifted via an Indian Air Force AN-32 transport plane from Kargil to Srinagar on Wednesday, according to officials.

The IAF publicized images of the aircraft and the rescue operation on X, showcasing the swift intervention.

“Today, an IAF AN-32 transport aircraft successfully transferred two critically ill civilian patients from Kargil to Srinagar this morning. The individuals, facing a medical emergency, approached the IAF for aid through the local administrative channels,” the statement read. Kargil is situated in the elevated terrain of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
