In a recent disclosure by Kashmir Cyber Police, it was divulged that they have apprehended four individuals implicated in two distinct cases concerning the dissemination of lewd material and the perpetration of intimidation via online platforms.
As per the official proclamation shared on X, a representative of Cyber Police detailed that one Sheikh Muqadas Rafiq, hailing from Gulab Bagh situated in Srinagar, was subjected to detention in one of the aforementioned cases.
The subsequent instance saw the detention of Junaid Hussain from Sonwar, Iflah Mir from Bagh-e-Mehtab, and Naveed Mir from Pampore, as announced by the authorities. “Our unwavering dedication remains steadfast in ensuring the security and upholding the dignity of every individual, and we shall persist in our unyielding efforts to combat cyber malfeasance,” underscored the statement.
This development comes in the wake of a prior incident on April 25, wherein the Cyber Police Kashmir took decisive action against the harassment of women on social media, culminating in the arrest of Shahid Ahmed Dar from Sopore in connection to the matter.
