In the midst of the revered journey to Kedarnath Dham, an unforeseen quandary unfolded at dawn on Friday when a rotorcraft encountered a malfunction. The helicopter ferrying pilgrims to the sanctified Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand narrowly averted disaster when its rudder sustained significant impairment.
The prompt reflexes and adept maneuvers of aviator Kalpesh forestalled a potentially calamitous mishap, ensuring the welfare of all occupants and crew members aboard.
The aircraft, operated by Kestral Aviation, en route from Shersi Helipad to Kedarnath Dham, encountered technical glitches mere meters away from its intended destination. With half a dozen passengers onboard, alongside a pilot, the aerial vehicle faced a precarious scenario necessitating prompt action.
By executing an impeccable emergency touchdown a mere 100 meters from the Kedarnath Dham helipad, pilot Kalpesh’s resolute actions preserved lives and thwarted what could have transpired as a sorrowful occurrence amidst the bustling Chardham Yatra 2024 pilgrimage season.
“I’m simply thankful that all individuals are unharmed,” commented Pilot Kalpesh in the aftermath of the nerve-wracking ordeal. Authorities and aviation pundits are presently scrutinizing the cause of the technical malfunction. Nandan Singh Rajwar, the Disaster Management Officer of Rudraprayag District, stated that the helicopter had executed an emergency landing in Kedarnath, with all occupants including the pilot being unscathed. At present, a minimum of nine rotorcraft services are operational in Kedarnath Dham.
