Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge expressed that the electorate had demonstrated their potency by casting their ballots in favor of Democracy and striving to shield the Constitution from authoritarian influences during the initial three phases of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
He implored them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of safeguarding Democracy and preserving the Constitution.
“In the inaugural three phases of the Lok Sabha polls, you have exhibited your potency by endorsing Democracy and endeavoring to shield the Constitution from autocratic tendencies. Presently, 96 Lok Sabha constituencies across 10 States/Union Territories are set to cast their votes.
Additionally, assembly elections for Andhra Pradesh and the commencement of the Odisha Assembly elections are underway.
This marks a pivotal juncture in tipping the scales decisively in favor of NYAY — Justice and securing triumph for INDIA,” Kharge conveyed his message to the electorate via his social media platform.
He also enumerated the five pledges – YUVA NYAY, KISAAN NYAY, NAARI NYAY, SHRAMIK NYAY, and HISSEDARI NYAY – of the Congress party. “These pledges are of paramount importance in our endeavor to reignite the ethos of freedom, justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity in our cherished INDIA. I extend a warm welcome to the first-time voters who serve as the catalysts for change. I urge you to cast your ballots and motivate your family, acquaintances, and neighbors to do the same in substantial numbers,” he inscribed.
“Remain undeterred by the diversionary strategies of divisive rhetoric that seeks to fragment society. I implore you to wholly concentrate on our collective aim of upholding Democracy and safeguarding the cornerstone of our existence — The Constitution of India,” the communication conveyed.
In the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 constituencies spanning 10 states and Union Territories are slated for polling on Monday. “Simultaneously, all 175 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and 28 seats of the State Legislative Assembly of Odisha,” a statement from the Election Commission elucidated.
The statement further mentioned that polling hours in specific assembly segments of 17 Parliamentary Constituencies of Telangana were extended by one hour by the Commission (from 7 am to 6 pm) to bolster voter engagement.
