In a political gathering held in Odisha’s Balasore district, Congress luminary Rahul Gandhi articulated that luminaries such as Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Albert Einstein drew inspiration from the ethos of Mahatma Gandhi. He rebuffed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contention that the depiction of Gandhi in the film ‘Gandhi’ was the sole source of global recognition for the iconic leader, insinuating a dearth of comprehension of Gandhi’s heritage among those affiliated with the RSS.
“Those indoctrinated in the sakha of RSS are adherents of Godse, bereft of familiarity with Gandhiji’s essence. Their acquaintance with Hindustan’s history, veracity, and nonviolence is scant. It is unsurprising that the PM would propagate the notion that the world remains oblivious to Gandhiji,” remarked Rahul Gandhi.
He underscored that luminaries such as Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Einstein, in conjunction with myriad liberation movements, drew inspiration from Gandhi’s precepts. “Martin Luther King Jr., Mandelaji, Einstein, and a multitude of others derived inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi. Diverse liberation movements also drew impetus from Gandhiji. The progeny of India, too, find solace in Gandhiji’s ethos,” he appended.
Rahul Gandhi concluded by asserting that further discourse on the subject was superfluous. “Elucidation on the subject warrants no further discourse. Their realm is confined to their sakha,” articulated Rahul Gandhi.
