Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally in Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli on Monday to seek support for party candidates, ahead of the April 19 Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi will seek votes for the party’s candidates for Tirunelveli, Kanniyakumari and Tenkasi at the meeting scheduled in Ambasamudram in the district.
While the BJP has fielded party leaders, Pon Radhakrishnan from Kanniyakumari and Nainar Nagendran from Tirunelveli, ally John Pandian of Tamizhaga Makkal Munnerra Kazhagam is contesting on BJP’s Lotus symbol from Tenkasi (SC).
Elections to 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu will be held in the very first phase of Parliamentary elections on April 19.
Pertinently, the PM is also scheduled to address rallies in Kerala to seek votes for BJP candidates in the state. According to the itinerary of the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to address two public meetings in Kerala– in Thrissur at 11 a.m. and in Thiruvananthapuram at 2:15 p.m. After the twin public meetings, the PM will leave for Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu to address a public meeting at 4:30 p.m.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that if voted to power for the third consecutive term, the BJP government led by him would ensure the lives of fellow Indians in conflict zones in view of the rising global tensions.
While speaking at the launch of the BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday, the Prime Minister emphasized on the significance for the BJP returning to power with a brute majority.
