Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh): In a heartrending calamity, a minimum of 13 individuals succumbed, and 16 others were wounded in a ghastly vehicular mishap late Sunday evening in the Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. The incident transpired near Piplodi Chowki, where a tractor-trolley, laden with approximately 30 nuptial attendees from Motipura village under Rajasthan’s Jawar police station, capsized.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the victims were participants in a wedding caravan journeying from Rajasthan to Kulampur. Among the deceased were three juveniles. Sixteen others incurred injuries, with two critically wounded individuals being transferred to Bhopal for advanced medical intervention.
Upon notification of the catastrophe, local authorities, inclusive of law enforcement, promptly descended upon the scene to render aid. Rajgarh Collector Harsh Dixit corroborated the incident’s particulars, elucidating that the trolley toppled at the frontier of Rajgarh and Rajasthan, culminating in the grievous loss of life.
Minister of State with independent charge Narayan Singh Panwar inspected the hospital to evaluate the condition of the injured, lauding the district and hospital administration’s swift medical response. He pledged comprehensive support to the bereaved families and underscored the imperative of ensuring adequate treatment for the injured.
In an outpouring of deep sorrow, President Draupadi Murmu and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav extended their condolences to the grieving families. CM Yadav affirmed the state’s government is in concert with Rajasthan authorities, with concerted efforts underway to deliver requisite medical care to the injured.
