Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh’s 2023 Legislative Assembly election results have unveiled the resolute inclination of the public towards specific political parties. Termed as the semi-finals preceding the upcoming general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has triumphed, forming the government in all three states.
This triumph has instilled confidence among the party leaders and workers, indicating a potential continuation of BJP’s dominance in the forthcoming 2024 elections. Nonetheless, the Congress and other opposition parties are diligently preparing for the imminent general elections. Amidst this political dynamism, Times Now conducted a pre-General Election survey, endeavoring to ascertain the hypothetical seat distribution for Madhya Pradesh if the Lok Sabha elections were to transpire today.
Unveiling the Survey Insights for Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha Elections
The survey forecasts a sweeping win for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, suggesting a possible acquisition of all 29 seats in the event of an immediate election. Contrarily, the Indian National Congress alliance is speculated to secure a mere seat or perhaps none at all. Remarkably, the survey’s outcome is staggering, especially considering the Congress party’s somewhat unsatisfactory performance in the Assembly elections, securing a total of 65 seats.
Notably, a parallel can be drawn with the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2019, where the BJP claimed a significant victory by securing 28 out of the 29 seats, leaving only one for the Congress, notably retained by Nakul Nath, Kamal Nath’s son, in Chhindwara.

- Total Lok Sabha Seats in Madhya Pradesh: 29
- NDA (BJP+): Estimated 27-29 Seats
- Indian National Congress Alliance: Estimated 0-1 Seat
- Other Parties: Estimated 0 Seats
However, in terms of vote share, the survey unequivocally positions the BJP ahead in Madhya Pradesh. It estimates a staggering 58% vote share for the BJP+ alliance across the 29 Lok Sabha seats, while the Congress trails behind with a projected 37% vote share. Meanwhile, other political entities are expected to garner a mere 5% vote share collectively.
