In an extraordinary turn of events, a young man experienced a fit of madness upon glimpsing a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading to a violent episode where he inflicted injuries on four individuals through biting.
This peculiar incident transpired on May 29 in Sipajhar, located in the Darrang district. According to reports, a youth identified as Jintu Bania abruptly entered an Aadhaar enrollment center within the Sipajhar academy field complex.
“Initially, he began with inquiries regarding Aadhaar,” sources disclosed. “Shortly thereafter, he commenced a heated argument over a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi displayed there.”
As the confrontation escalated, the youth’s temper flared uncontrollably. Efforts by those present to mollify him proved futile. In a sudden outburst, the youth bit an Aadhaar center employee on the chest. When three additional staff members attempted to subdue him, they too were bitten, with the assailant tearing flesh from their bodies,” sources recounted.
As the situation deteriorated, local residents alerted the police. The Assam Police subsequently apprehended Jintu Bania, a resident of Bhuktabari Baniapara in Sipajhar.
An Aadhaar center employee recounted the ordeal: “We were engaged in our routine tasks at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra when the youth barged in and commenced hurling abuses at us.”
“He began spewing profanities upon sighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photograph and then attacked us with a sharp implement. In our attempt to restrain him, he bit us, causing serious injuries. We had no choice but to summon the police, who then detained him,” the employee further elaborated.
Meanwhile, the injured victims were swiftly transported to the community and primary health center (PHC) in Sipajhar for immediate medical attention.
