In the midst of the NEET UG examination, candidates who congregated at the Adarsh Vidya Mandir examination center, situated in Model Town, voiced grievances regarding the administration of English-language questions to Hindi-medium students, which were then retracted after an hour’s passage. Objecting to this discrepancy, candidates and their kinfolk raised a tumult outside the precincts of the campus.
Furthermore, the examinees leveled accusations of misconduct against the law enforcement personnel stationed at the center. Concurrently, a faction of candidates exited the examination venue, clutching their enrollment forms. The NEET UG 2024 examination had been slated for May 5th. This nationwide examination was dispersed across 571 urban conurbations within the nation and beyond, encompassing 557 domestic locales and 14 international centers. Over 5,000 examination venues were erected across the expanse of the country.
Echoing a reminiscent occurrence from 2022, Hindi-medium students in Kota were confronted with English question papers, yet subsequently, both the papers and OMR sheets were exchanged. A subset of examinees was furnished with OMR sheets and question papers bearing identical serial numbers. Subsequently, the National Testing Agency acknowledged this oversight, prompting re-administration of the examination in certain regions.
